The new February bank holiday marked an historical milestone in Termonfeckin Celtic history; the club fielded it's first Senior Ladies team in a friendly match against Torro United at the MDL Grounds in Navan.
Despite the very windy conditions both sides played their part in a very entertaining scoreless draw. Termonfeckin travelled with an impressive squad of 21 players.
The ladies will be kicking off their NEFL league campaign in March and should be in really good shape after an impressive couple of months of training. Cold nights, early mornings and sessions running up and down sand dunes shows the level of commitment from the players and coaches.
